About us
Who we are:
We are a family-owned business that is passionate about bees, honey, and that feeling you get when tasting honey from your own hives. We've been beekeepers for over five years in our own community of Westchester, IL. Our home hives are a combination of Langstroth (traditional box-style hives) and Kenyan style (top-bar) hives. If you are interested in seeing how both styles of hives work, we are happy to arrange for you to come for a hive inspection at our home.
Our mascot, Dale, is our resident bee inspector. Every day he makes his rounds of the hives in our back yard, sampling the bee-shaped snacks and usually getting stung once or twice. (We didn't say he was the brightest bee inspector.) Surprisingly, while he will snap at, bite, and stomp on bees in the great outdoors, if so much as a gnat gets into the house, he will cower in the shower or hide under the bed.

Swarm Capture
It is illegal to kill a swarm of honey-bees. Besides, when they're swarming is actually when they are the most gentle. All they want to do is find a new home. Regardless of that fact, we understand that finding thousands of bees on your house, car, or property can be very disconcerting. We will happily come, capture the swarm and remove it from your property as quickly as possible. Please use our contact form, or call the phone number on our contact page, and indicate in the comments that you have a swarm. We will attempt to get back to you the same day to remove the swarm.
